Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, name, profile image, linked sign-in provider, and account identifiers supplied through Clerk or Google.
• Authentication and security information: session information, IP address, browser or device information, login events, and fraud or abuse signals.
• Membership information: plan, subscription status, renewal status, and transaction records. If billing is enabled, payment-card details are collected by Clerk and Stripe and are not stored in the GoSports application database.
• Communications: information you send when requesting support or exercising a privacy right.
• Usage and technical information: server logs, requested pages, timestamps, errors, and similar information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use personal information to create and secure accounts, authenticate users, provide membership access, process and administer subscriptions, respond to requests, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, comply with legal obligations, and improve the reliability of GoSports.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with law, and consent where requested.

How we share information

We share information only as needed with providers that operate GoSports, including Clerk for identity and user management, Google for optional Google sign-in, Vercel for website hosting, Render for API hosting, our database provider, GitHub for deployment automation, and Stripe if payments are enabled. These providers process information under their own agreements and privacy terms.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and similar technologies

GoSports and Clerk use cookies and related browser storage that are necessary to create secure sessions, remember authentication state, prevent fraud, and operate account features. GoSports does not currently use advertising cookies. If we add non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide consent controls where required.

Retention and security

We retain account information while an account is active and afterward only as reasonably needed for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and legitimate business records. Retention periods can differ for provider security logs and legally required transaction records. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, encrypted connections, restricted production credentials, signed authentication tokens, and verified webhook requests. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may update available profile information through your account controls. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of your personal information, and may appeal or complain to a regulator where applicable.

To make a privacy request or request account deletion, email privacy@gosportspicks.com. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account before completing a request.

Age restrictions

GoSports is intended only for adults age 18 or older, and for people who have reached the legal age for sports wagering in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account.

International processing and policy changes

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected through contractual or other legally recognized safeguards. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be identified by a revised effective date and, where required, additional notice.
